Fantastic distortion pedal! I’ve never tried the original of which this is supposed to be a clone of (human gear animato), but this is a fantastic distortion pedal. It focuses mostly on the mid range, and accentuates the attack when used with a pick. Sounds really good on the six string guitar as well, but it’s really good on bass too. Not artificial or synthetic at all. Breaks up mostly the overtones, not the fundamental frequencies at least not for the low notes, but it does work very well for these too if you blend clean and dirty appropriately. Combine it with a big muff and you have the muse tone!

The cocoon is a badass buzzy fuzz. There’s a lotta meat in there. The notes sustain & ring out, the chords crunch up beautifully. I kinda love that its only controls are output & gain. It’s precisely what I need in a fuzz. Real simple and just sounds great. Gnarly, snarly, and articulate.

Pedal is insane. Glitchy and circuit bent sounds. Distorted delay popping. There is a volume boost I found hard to tame but that's part of the fun of this pedal is finding sweet spots and enjoying the chaotic ride. For fans of unique obscure experimental sounds!

Got this to pair with a LA-1A Leveling Amplifier.
First signal chain test: Tube Drive > PC-2A > Phaseomatic Deluxe > LA-1A Leveling Amplifier.
Insane for the Dry portion of my Wet/Dry/Wet rig. I felt like a sculptor; the tone was like clay in my hands. With all pedal settings fairly low, huge dynamic range and massive sustain that doesn’t drop off near the end. Fades steadily into silence.
Very responsive to guitar Volume/Tone knobs.

This pedal truly stands out among the pack. The octave control has so much harmonic information that the texture really builds on itself in a really rich manner. Rules as a fuzz, plays just as great as a boost and drive.

Lots and lots of depth of sound and options to tweak delays. Great sounding pedal that plays well with other dirt pedals. Patience is needed to really understand the device and all the sub-features but it’s worth it.

This is my first pedal in the kilobyte range, and I was happy to experience firsthand how it can give you a very musical grit and fuzziness, similar to a BBD but distinct. Having control over both the gain and tone for the repeats is a really nice feature to customize how prominent you want the wet signal to be. That, plus the customizable havoc and tap tempo, gives you great tones from slapback to infinite chaos. Highly recommended!

This pedal sounds huge. Before my fuzz: Lots of range, warm; silky smooth. Totally sings. Love it!

They had quick shipping and their selection of products is super unique.

This pedal did not disappoint. I plugged it in and instantly found myself feeling like I was playing through a box solid state. (My amp is a fender twin reverb reissue) Getting everything from the thin crispy highs and sharp mids, to a honky, fuzzy, cocked wah even the Eggman would approve of!! 😂
Much thanks to sound shoppe nyc for getting it to me super fast and serial number #62!

Definitely got that Beatle '67-'68 vibe. I am lovin' that sound coming from my guitar via the pedal in my studio. Along with my VOX AC30, it sits well with my Dr.Robert and Mocker Aclam pedals. This company knows what it is creating!!!!

one of the best pedals ever made, delay or otherwise. truly great and unique sound.

This is such a great pedal! In a matter of minutes I was creating beautiful multi-layered tones with my synth and guitar. The loop feature with the rising pitch shift is my favorite and there is still so much more to explore! Also, big thanks to Sound Shoppe NYC for the amazing customer service!

I was fortunate enough to purchase one of these recently after listening to the demos for months. This was exactly what I hoped it would be. There is a lot of control over the pedal due to seperate wet/dry knobs, and is actually quite intuitive once you read the controls. I would recommend this pedal for anyone looking for less clarity in their life and enjoy the beauty of uncertainty and static.
