Sometimes, subtlety is key when is comes to effects, and we’ve got one of those kind of pedals for you today. The Limbic System Digital Reverb from Ftelettronica  achieves exactly that, adding a layer of sound that sort of covers your tone like a blanket, but without muffling it in the least. Sometimes, we all need to stop and enjoy the simplicities in life, and this reverb will definitely help do that.

The control section for the Limbic System is relatively simple, all things considered. The Reverb knob sets your reverb amount, while Tone adjusts the brightness or darkness of the reverberated sound. Control your feedback with the Feedback knob, and adjusts how quickly the effect comes on using Pre-Delay. That’s it. You sit down, plug it in and BAM! You’re off to the races.

That all being said, we wish that the Reverb control itself could make the effect just a bit more noticeable, but that’s not really what the Limbic System is designed for. Creating a slow-moving, gentle wash of sound, it blends in seamlessly with the rest of your rig, never overpowering or trying to stand out. This is actually quite refreshing, in a world filled with over-indulgent, over-the-top reverb creations. Not that those are bad in any way, they’re just different, and we dig the variety of them all.
