Fuzz Pedal
Level Knob
Used to adjust the volume level of the sound while the effect is applied. Should be adjusted so there is no noticeable difference between the times when the effect is applied and when the sound is normal.
Tone Knob (Treble)
Allow the higher frequency portions to be boosted/cut. At the center, the tone will be flat. Boost the higher frequencies by turning it towards the right. Turn toward the left to cut them.
Tone Knob (Bass)
Allow the lower frequency portions to be boosted/cut. At the center, the tone will be flat. Boost the lower frequencies by turning it towards the right. Turn toward the left to cut them.
Mode Selection Switch
Allows you to select the function you wish your Dystopian Fuzz to perform.
FUZZ 1
A basic fuzz sound that places emphasis on the harmonics.
FUZZ 2
A full-bodied fuzz sound that places emphasis on the lower frequency range.
GAIN BOOST
Ideal for boosting the power of a guitar with limited output power (such as one with a single-coil pickup); or for increasing the amount of distortion you can obtain when using a distortion-type effects units or guitar amplifier.
Gain Knob
(When FUZZ 1 or FUZZ 2 is selected)
Allows you to adjust the depth of the fuzz. The distortion depth is increased (and sustains will be lengthened) as you move the knob to the right.
(When GAIN BOOST is selected)
Allows you to adjust the amount by which the gain is to be boosted. The gain is increased the more you move the knob to the right.
* Oscillation could be produced if the depth is increased too much.
I had heard about this Italian builder , as this particular pedal had been mentioned a couple of times in forums when discussing a more road ready, heavy duty version of the iconic Behringer SF300, which itself was based on the Boss Hyper Fuzz FZ2 , their take on an iconic circuit known for being the nastiest and heaviest of all Fuzzes.
I still haven't found anything heavier than this particular flavor of Octave Fuzz - it is spectacular, and this pedal gets everything about it 100% correct. I own the SF300, Idiotbox Swanson Super Fuzz, Dungeon Master, LBF Fuzz Cauldron and my own DIY Super Fuzz Pedals. I think this is the most well built, internally and externally, of all my similar pedals, and sounds basically identical to the SF300. You have the Grindy Fuzz channel, the harsher Octave channel, and the clean boost channel, set up on a three way toggle, along with volume and gain, and bass and treble e.q. This is definitely one of those pedals where you can cry havoc and max all the knobs, as to let slip the dogs of war! Aural assault for your pedalboard!

This pedal is so awesome. I think it’s the best FZ-2 clone on the market. Mode 1 sounds super thick and mode 2 has the classic octave fuzz/FZ-2 sound.
