early fuzz circuits create a glassy, sparkly, high-end rich tone that happens when your guitar’s volume knob is rolled back. volume, too allows for this dynamics trick at the touch of a footswitch.

volume, too is a variation of pickup simulator with a 1meg ohm logarithmic taper volume pot that can be turned on and off.

the always-on (pickup simulator) portion emulates the induction of a pickup, and allows you to adjust the “pickup” resistance. its toggle switches between single coil and humbucker induction. most importantly, it puts out a high impedance signal, negating the low impedance output of any buffered effect. with volume, too you can place a fuzz anywhere in your signal chain and achieve precise volume roll-back clean-up no matter what buffered effects come before it, and at the touch of a footswitch. no more fiddling with knobs, and guesstimating its position.

volume, too can also act as a mute switch when its volume control is turned all the way back. additionally, it can act as a signal output attenuator. think of that as a kind of reductive boost where it cuts your signal to a set level, leaving the off position to be a “boost”.
