Analog signal path. 1000ms delay time.
The Moby Dick V2 Analog Delay Pedal is not the pedal for you if you prefer perfect digitally processed repeats. The magic in the Moby Dick actually comes from its overall grittiness and raw sound. The harder you push the front end, the more texture and grit on the repeats. The modulation is subtle and tied to the delay tempo and therefore will be more noticeable with faster delay times. The fidelity of the delay after 800ms starts to degrade slightly.
Stands out with the lush vibrato. The max delay is impressive from a small boutique company. Rich repeats that crunch well when pushed.
A great contrast to the wave, this pedal shows Hungry Robot can make classic pedals as rich as their more exploratory products. If i didn't know better id think this was analog, the band pass filtering is beyond what i could have expected. The repeats can also get very crunchy. And of course the tap tempo is much appreciated. This could work as a reverb replacement, very ambient.
Covers a ton of space, and can do anything your Mythos Oracle or Caroline delay does. Sounds more analog? You know more broken up, lower fidelity. A little harder to figure out and find great sounds from (not every sound's a winner). But when you do dial it in it stands above others. So if you like figuring out a pedal, and dont need instant/constant gratification, this pedal will reward you.
