The best overdrive I've ever heard. My solid state amp was lacking for the natural breakup found in a tube amp, and so this became my solution. Bright and brittle.
Its a relief to be able to get a simple drive pedal that doesn't have surface mounted hardware in case I choose to mod or need to fix it. The circuit is relatively simple and that's what creates the beauty of the raw distortion.
Too many pedals are afraid of a raw, gritty uncompromising distortion. Well not this one. It can be a warm blanket that swallows your signal or a ripping, screaming fuzz that pushes your harmonics almost to the point an octave fuzz. Midfi is as boutique as it gets.
