Fuzz
The sound of a bad mixer channel being forced to pass sound.
Fuzz: amount of signal going into the circuit
Attack: how quickly the broken portion of the circuit reacts to an incoming signal
Timbre: overall width of the frequency range allowed out of the circuit
Level: output volume
This is my first Mid-Fi pedal and it did not disappoint. I've tried several pedals to achieve that "broken" guitar sound. Mostly fuzz-types that do that gated, crackly sputter. The Faulty Channel does a similar thing, but has its own unique texture and offers control over frequencies (timbre) which is useful. You can coax a milder, more conventional grit out of the Faulty Channel but you won't find full, roaring fuzz. Instead it offers many different flavors of rattling, crackly, blown-out fuzz you won't find elsewhere.
