We took what we learned from our compression circuits and wondered:
“What if instead of compressing the signal, the input dynamics affected the clipping circuit of an overdrive?”
Through intensive development we've designed optical circuitry to achieve just that.
Argus also has a useful middle-eq section. This allows the player to boost or cut a selectable frequency for a wide variety of overdrive styles.
After the drive circuitry there is a treble shelving equalizer and a master volume; giving the player the ability to put the final polish on their signal.
